DENNIS'S AUTHOR FRIENDS (Alphabetically)
If I missed any of you, and if you would like to be included, please send me an email.

George Appelt Jr.
Congrats to George on his debut novel, "Shepherd's Fall," a supernatural thriller.

John E. Bailor
John's high action thriller,"Death Dealt The Hand," introduces us to special agent, Trevor Byrne, a complex character tough enough to kill bad guys when necessary yet sensitive enough to care for his pet rabbit, Cadbury. This is the first of a promising new series.

Tina Crone
Tina brings her knowledge as a scientist to craft fascinating speculative fiction. Be sure to check out "Speculative Journeys," an Anthology of SciFi, Fantasy and other Strange Tales.

Susan Gourley/Kelley
A master at world building, Susan's "Futhark Chronicles" series is sure to please fans of "A Game of Thrones." Oh, and she writes romance novels, too!

Don Helin
Don's breakout novel, "Thy Kingdom Come" reminds us that home grown terrorism remains a serious threat. As a critique group leader, Don is a source of encouragement for all aspiring authors.

Ronald A. Hopkins
A fellow Perry Countian who writes about Perry County, Ron captures the local flavor in his novel, "Shermans Creek - A Redneck Murder Mystery."

Larry C. Kerr
Larry's debut novel, "By the Light of the Moon," is a howling good time!

Cate Masters
I'm convinced the talented Cate Masters can write just about anything and make it exciting.

Mike Silvestri
From his short stories which have appeared regularly in "The Sun" to his full length mystery novels, "Bark of the Tree" and "Why the Sleeping Dog Lied," Mike is a formidable talent, although he despises the exclamation point! His post-apocalyptic, "The Gospel of Matthias Kent," is one of my personal favorites.

Maria V. Snyder
New York Times bestselling author, Maria Snyder, successfully blend magic, suspense, and romance in her fantasy novels.

Victoria Thompson
Every spring I look forward to the next installment in Victoria's Gaslight Mystery series and wonder when her characters, Sarah and Frank, will finally get together.

DENNIS'S OTHER FAVORITE CONTEMPORARY NOVELISTS (Alphabetically)

Ken Follett
"Pillars of the Earth" and "World Without End," the best novels written during my lifetime. I need say no more.

Lisa Gardner
I've read every one of Lisa's thrillers and marvel at how well she can write a tight story with powerful scenes and memorable characters. Gripping fiction.

Tess Gerritsen
Tess is one of my all-time favorite authors, fearlessly writing in a nothing-is-sacred, no-holds-barred manner. The reason it works: Tess cares about the human condition and promotes awareness of the evils she writes about. Whether she tackles the international sex trade or the harvesting of organs from children, Tess possesses a knack for getting the reader emotionally involved. Of course, it also helps that she is a gifted storyteller.

Stephen King
Stephen King. An apt name. He is indeed the king of novelists. All authors aspire to be as successful as he is. "The Stand" remains one of my post-apocalyptic favorites.

Scott Sigler
A man who has turned the traditional publishing industry on its head by landing major book deals AFTER giving away his work for free. How does he do that? Scott is a marketing genius and awesome talent.
